“Best of” Award of the “Design Plus” Competition

Design Plus powered by Light + Building

Design Plus – What is Design Plus? How do the evaluations work?

Design Plus powered by Light + Building is a quality mark for products that stand out for their future-oriented approach, innovative design, and high energy efficiency technology; values that represent Light + Building as the world's leading trade fair for architecture and technology. A highly qualified panel of experts evaluates, among other things:

– Design: design quality, choice of materials, operability (universal design).

– Ecology: energy efficiency, sustainability (resource use), durability over time.

– Technology: innovation, functionality, technical quality, and integrability.

All the awarded products will be presented during Light + Building, from October 2 to 6, 2022, as part of the special exhibition. The products awarded as Best of will receive a certificate during the awards ceremony to be held on the opening day of the fair. Additionally, the awarded products will receive advertising in a magazine and will be included in the international PR of Light + Building 2022.

"Light + Building Autumn Edition 2022"

Light + Building will take place at the Frankfurt exhibition grounds from October 2nd to 6th, 2022. More than 1,300 exhibitors from 46 countries are ready for the relaunch of the lighting and building technology sector in the fall. They will offer a comprehensive overview of the industry and an insight into the themes of lighting, electrical engineering, home and building automation, and security technology. At the leading international trade fair for lighting and building, the industry presents smart and connected solutions, future-oriented technologies, and current design trends.

The success of this design and technology hotspot is due to the interdisciplinary range of products and services and the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas. In line with the Bauhaus maxim – form follows function – product design becomes the centerpiece of interiors or subtly emphasizes architectural lines.
