VEGETAL is a family of pendant lamps designed by Marcantonio. The designer took inspiration from nature itself, as nature and light have always shown a close connection. There can be no life without light, and from this comes the idea to create four lamps that reflect the concept of light filtering through leaves. Hence, four different lamps that highlight vegetative shapes: there's FICUS, which in the imagination represents hospitality, gratitude, and respect; PILEA, often known as the Chinese money plant, actually has a much deeper meaning related to friendship; its shoots can be detached and gifted, becoming a good luck charm; CALATHEA, always considered the prayer plant because at night it has the peculiar habit of closing its leaves near the stem two by two, almost mimicking hands joined in prayer; PALM, always one of the most famous plants, has the ability to bloom when it seems to be on the verge of death.
LA STILLA is a collection of pendant and wall lamps. Designer Marcantonio started from the concept that water is the origin of life. "Light and water are two fundamental elements of the natural world. I think of the reflections of light on the moving water of a stream that nourishes the roots of trees, or the light that penetrates the waters of an ocean, or a drop that glistens within a cavity in the rock. If water quenches our thirst, light gives us joy and warmth. Stilla is a tribute to that moment, that moment when nature, silently, takes its course."
The FREQUENCY collection designed by Marcantonio last year has grown! During Euroluce, a wall-mounted version and a new size of pendant lamp were introduced. As the designer explains: "FREQUENCY was born from the desire to exalt the essence of light. I imagined a beam of light traveling through space. I wanted the shape of the glass to convey the movement and intensity of the energy released by this ray. A contemporary lamp that celebrates the art of hand-worked glass like only a sculpture can."
All new collections can be customized with a wide selection of color and size finishes.
